You will be surprised to know that the god named Mbombo vomited through which this universe was created.
According to the tribe called Kuba in Africa, there was only darkness and water in this universe before our world was formed. There used to live giant demons in this darkness and water. At the same time, there was only one deity, whose name was Mbombo.

One day this deity had a stomach-ache, he vomited out of that sickness, and the sun, the moon, the stars were created. The sun transformed the water into steam, and it formed clouds, clouds showered water, the land was created. The deity felt good for a few days, but soon the deity was sick once again, had a stomach-ache again, the deity vomited, and this time, animals, trees, birds and humans were created.
Admittedly, it is a mythological story! Every religion has different mythological stories about the creation of this universe. In the last few years, we have come a lot ahead of these stories after the scientific progression. Our understanding of this universe is getting better every day. But still looking at our universe, scientists are puzzled with some questions for years like what is this university made of? What kind of raw material has created this universe? What are the building blocks of this university? From the research done for the last few years, some results have come to us; we will look a little at them.
Approximately 70 per cent of this university is made of dark energy. All the space between different galaxies is full of this dark energy. You will be surprised to know that the distance between these different galaxies is constantly increasing and the velocity of this widening distance is more than the velocity of light. This distance among galaxies is full of dark energy. The maximum part of the universe is filled with this dark energy.
Approximately 26 per cent of the university is made of Dark Matter. This dark matter is not visible. It is the kind of energy which holds different galaxies together. For our understanding of Dark Matter, we can compare it with the gravitational force.
Now the remaining 4 per cent is made of matter. Out of this 4 per cent, 99.99 part is made of Interstellar dust. Most of the part of this interstellar dust is made of hydrogen and helium. The remaining 0.1 per cent of this universe is visible to our eyes. In this 0.1 per cent part, the entire universe is included. In this 0.1 per cent share, there are more than 2 trillion galaxies, more than 706 trillion stars. It is visible to our eyes, so we call it ‘matter’ and it is also made from waves. It means, whatever is perceived by our eyes, which we can be touched, is made of waves.
Every solid thing visible to our eyes is made up of molecules. Each molecule is made up of smaller atoms. The chair we sit on looks solid, but it is not. It is made of atoms which we can’t even see under a microscope. Further, the science states that these atoms are made up of subatomic particles and these subatomic particles are not solid, they are made of waves. In short, which appears to be solid to us, is made up of energy.
So now the question is: if all solid things are made of energy, then why can’t we see that energy?
The advanced science says that the energy which is made of the subatomic particles are so dynamic that we perceive it as solid. It is similar to the movies we watch in theatres. Different clips of the movie are rotated so fast that the illusion of reality created. In the same way, subatomic particles are moving so fast that the feeling of solidification of things is being created.
By considering what we have read so far, we can draw two conclusions about the universe.
1. The universe is not a matter; just the illusion of being matter.
2. Universe (the distance between galaxies) is increasing every second.
So what the Universe is made of?
As per the scientific understanding we have today, we can say, “The Universe is the flow of energy and information,” and while thinking about the mind as well, we have reached this conclusion that “the mind is also the energy and the flow of information.”
So is the definition of both the universe and the mind the same? We will discuss this in the next blog…
