The year was 1961. John F. Kennedy was the President of the United States. The American President invited the best musician of that time for the music program at the White House. The name of that musician was Pablo Casals. Pablo used to play the violin, and when he would start playing the violin, the audience used to get spellbound, become enthralled with that magical music, induced by his violin. Perhaps he was the best violinist of that era. In 1963, American President John F. Kennedy awarded Pablo Casals America’s highest civilian honour, ‘the Presidential Medal of Freedom….
